There’s a number of reasons why I love True Blood. The southern accent - not to mention charm - Pam, Jason, Jessica, Russell Edgington, but above all, their selection of music.
So many gems have been featured in this show, like Dr. John – I Don’t Wanna Know, and now this; Paul McCartney & Wings - Silly Love Songs (1976).
Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs.
And what’s wrong with that?
I’d like to know, ‘cause here I go again…If I was working over at Capitol I would blast social media with this song right now, seeing as:
A) It’s a fantastic song
B) It was in a great scene of True Blood’s season 5 premiere (S05E01),
definingreminding the audience of the show’s underlying quirkynaturehumorC) It’s not on Spotify (*sadface*), in other words, it’s a great opportunity to pinpoint and stimulate sales for it in the long tail of digital music merchants.

I completely agree with all of the above. Well said. Silly Love Songs was perfect in S5E1 of True Blood, and it is definitely worth a listen.
